Supporting local artists is a long-standing mission of Birmingham’s The Community House and the core mission of one of its core events, known as “OUR TOWN,” and for many people, the arts have never been more important than they are now.
After much discussion and deliberation, The Community House recently announced it will hold its 35th Annual OUR TOWN Art Show & Sale for the public to enjoy.
Thanks to the incredible support from DeRoy Testamentary Foundation and the Bank of Ann Arbor – Birmingham, and out of an abundance of safety and caution, The Community House has decided to hold this year’s show and sale virtually online from September 10-30, allowing art enthusiasts the opportunity to appreciate the skills and the talents of the region’s many artists and to purchase a work of art themselves.
The 35th annual juried art show includes more thabn 300 works of art ranging from paintings, pastels, sculptures, photography, fiber works, jewelry, and mixed media, all created by talented Michigan artists. Sixty-five percent of the proceeds from the art sales will go directly to the region’s artists.
The show goes live on September 10; art enthusiasts may view and purchase art by going to: https://www.communityhouse.com/event/our-town-art-show-sale/
